Thank you for reaching out! ~~Team SAFE Support and Development Team~~~ https://www. facebook.com/samantha.jones21 [Debian GNU/Linux User Group] [Date: February 04, 2015] Congratulations, you've just successfully installed SAFE for Debian! To start use su and enter a root password. The default password is safe123! That's it, you're all set to access your new safe-media files in a su or root shell! SAFE 12.3.1 has been successfully released into the wild! It brings several important improvements to the CLI, improved UI and stability fixes to improve your experience with the software. SAFE 12.3.1 was released on 12/11/2015, and includes the following improvements: - Support for Secure Boot - Users can now enable Secure Boot in a variety of ways, including via a kernel option or via a configuration file. - Improved security on removable media - SAFE now stores session data securely on removable media at all times, not just during boot. The "on removal" option also works as expected with this release! Note that this is not backwards compatible with previous releases where the session data was stored only during boot. - New "Mount Media" menu item - Use this to mount removable media. This can be particularly useful when you-know-where you're going! - Auto mount on boot - When enabled, automatic mounting of removable media will be executed at boot. This can be configured via a kernel option. - Improved CLI interface - SAFE now shows a progress bar while a download or upload is in progress, and color coded status messages while the upload is in progress. Other small usability improvements have been made too! - Support for SELinux - Linux kernels 3.16 and later include support for SELinux that can be used to provide additional security. - Improved stable - The stable release series for Linux and Windows is now at version 12.0. cfa1e77820
